Finalist Proposals Showcase

Since 2017, the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has partnered with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) in the Young Leaders Programme to nurture young talents with creativity and skills in problem-solving, communication, teamwork and project management.

Themed around URA’s Sham Shui Po District Study, this year’s programme encouraged students to understand the characteristics of Sham Shui Po district by using geospatial data. Over 140 students from 18 TWGHs secondary schools unleashed their creativity to propose an urban renewal plan that integrated redevelopment, rehabilitation, preservation and revitalisation strategies for the designated area in the district to enhance the quality of life for residents, preserve the local characteristics, and blend old and new.

After a series of training and months of preparation, the participating students have submitted their proposals and the top eight teams were being shortlisted.
